The dice are rolled and two dice are chosen, one for color and one for number. Mark the squares on your sheet while the other players grumble as they cross out a number on their sheet. In Plenus, players must make strategic decisions to earn victory points, filling columns and colors according to the dice of this revolutionary roll-and-write game.
In Plenus, players roll the 6 dice and choose a number and a color. On their square sheet, they cross out squares of the chosen color and can only cross out the number that appears on the die (no more or less squares). The crossed-out squares must also be adjacent to previously crossed-out squares. The remaining players can only choose from the 4 remaining combinations of colored and numbered dice and mark the squares on their counters. The first player to cross out an entire column wins the points indicated at the bottom of the column and says it aloud, so that the other players know. If another player crosses out the same column, they receive fewer points (which is the number below the points the first player collected). There are bonuses for the first players to cross out all the columns of a color (the first to do so receives more points than the others). The game ends when a player manages to cross out their second color bonus. All players stop and add up their points. All crossed-out columns and bonuses are counted as positive. There are jokers you can use to choose a color or number you want in a dice roll during the game, but if any are left over, at the end of the game they also count as victory points. Be careful, because there are some stars printed on the tokens, and each uncrossed star is -2 points. After calculating the sum of the color bonus points, the column points, the jokers, and subtracting the unmarked stars, you get the total score. The player with the most victory points is the winner.

It has a simple yet innovative mechanism of rolling and selecting the dice, and then marking them on the score sheet with a marker. This game is perfect for people who want to learn this trendy mechanism, but once you get the hang of it, you'll never stop. It's very difficult to play just one game! If you get really hooked on Plenus, don't worry, you can perfect your tactics by playing in solo mode to win the next time you play with your friends. On the last page of the rules there is a points table so you can see your level, whether you are a professional Plenus player or need a little practice.
