Maverick was an American television series, popular in the 1960s, that followed the adventures of the Maverick brothers, Texas poker players who traveled the American Old West, pulling off scams and getting into trouble. The series inspired the creation of the Maverick playing cards, which became Hoyle Cards' flagship product before the brand was acquired by the US Playing Card Company, thanks to its affordable price and great popularity.
