Description
Ghost Blitz is a 2010 game designed by the renowned Jacques Zeimet, author of Bamboleo, Hamsterolle, and Pelican Bay, among others. The artwork is by Gabriela Silveira, who has previously illustrated board games such as Shear Panic and Worm Up! Ghost Blitz allows 2 to 8 players to compete in quick and fun games lasting no more than 20 minutes. It's a game with a distinctly childlike character, ideal for introducing the youngest members of the household to the world of modern board games. What's the story behind Ghost Blitz? The little ghost Balduin found an old camera in the attic and dedicated himself to taking pictures of all the objects he likes to make disappear from the castle (including himself, which is why he's a ghost). However, something is wrong. The camera has become enchanted! The objects don't appear the same in all the photographs: they change color, they all appear moved? It's a real mess. Help the ghost discover which object appears with the correct shape and color and grab the object before your opponents. Sometimes, it may be that no object appears in its correct shape and color... in that case, choose the object that doesn't appear in the image and grab it before your friends!
To prepare the game, you must place the five objects that come with the game in the center of the table and within reach of all players. These are five wooden pieces in the shape of a red sofa, a blue book, a gray mouse, a green bottle, and finally, the white ghost. The stack of cards is placed next to the objects, and when we are ready, the first player turns over the first card and the game begins. All players will try to discover which object is repeated identically and grab it.
In Ghost Blitz, when you do it correctly, you will place the card on the table in front of you. This will be your reward. And if you lose? You will have to return one of the cards to the deck. Once the deck is empty, the game ends and the cards in each player's possession are counted. Whoever has the most cards wins!
Although Ghost Blitz is a very simple game, as it is intended for a children's audience, there are ways to make it more complicated, with variants included within the game. These variants include new rules to make the game more challenging and fun!
