Just like in the original Settlers of Catan board game, players must manage their resources to build settlements, roads, cities, city improvements, and knights, which grant victory points (VPs) or special abilities. Control of roads and knights can change hands during the game, so don't assume what's yours will stay yours. City improvements are expensive, but they give you additional VPs and other bonuses, so strive to improve your cities! The first player to reach ten VPs wins the game. The game doesn't use dice, and resource acquisition and exchange are based on each player's developments, making this version less luck-dependent than the original. One of the game's new features is that certain developments are limited and can be stolen from other players when there are no more new developments available. The first player to reach 10 victory points wins the game.
