While maintaining the core characteristics of oil painting, Rive Gauche fine oils dry twice as fast as traditional oils. This results in a short drying time, offering the artist the opportunity to work with fresh paint. Safflower oil is used to make the 60 colors in the range due to its low yellowing level (50% less than linseed oil) and its excellent compatibility with pigments. Rive Gauche fine oils use new pigments that offer high performance in opacity and luminosity properties and are equivalent to traditional cadmium-based oils.
